Staff at Dallas Highway Animal Hospital in Powder Springs, GA

Meet the friendly staff at DALLAS HIGHWAY ANIMAL HOSPITAL

  • Justin Toth
    DVM - Owner

I founded Dallas Hwy Animal Hospital in 2001.

Born and raised in GA, my blood is way too thin to live outside of the Southeastern United States.  Just 45 minutes away from the busiest airport in the world, 30 minutes from the many attractions Atlanta has to offer, 1 hour from the foothills of The Appalachian Trail, and 4 hours from the beach, Cobb County is an ideal place to live and raise a family.

I love medicine.  The body’s ability to heal under the correct circumstances still surprises me to this day.

I also think that the human animal bond is incredible.  Animals never cease to amaze me.  Years ago, I was taught that animals do not experience emotion.  As an animal lover, I never agreed with this hypothesis.  Now, thanks to the advancements in science (functional MRI, etc.), it has been proven that many animals experience the same emotions as their human counterparts.  I know how much our furry (or feathered, or scaley) friends mean to us.  I also understand the trust my clients place in me every day and do not take that responsibility lightly.

Growing up having dogs, I knew from a young age this is the field I wanted to work in. I have been working with animals since graduating high school in 2016. Started as a pet sitter moving to boarding and now here as a veterinary assistant. I wouldn’t be here doing what I love to do if it wasn’t for the love and support from my family.

I have two dogs of my own one male named Rocky (a toy fox terrier and according to his DNA test a hint of Bull mastiff) and one female named Dixie (a Dachshund mix).
